Nollywood hunk, Fredrick Leonard whetting the appetite of his teaming fans, have given them a sneak peak of what to expect from his role in his new work, Alter Date hitting cinema shelves, Wednesday, May 17.
Describing his experience on the set of Alter Date as refreshing and peaceful, the actor hinted that the role he played in the movie was a breather from his stereotype roles in other movie, where he is mostly wealthy and flaunts wealth and gets all he wants at his Beck and call.
According to him, in Alter Date, he played a photographer who was in love with a woman that was perceived to be out of his league, Tana Adelana’s role.
The award winning actor who described his role as an underdog, said he opted for the role because he felt he would love to give his fans a different side to him.
“Timi, the character that I played was a young photographer, who was in love with a woman who is quite materialistic… Unknown to her, the goldmyne lies in the diamond in the rough; which was my character.
“When the script was given to me, other characters were introduced to me, but I insisted my audience would love to see me handle pains, deal with betrayals and rejection. And I totally enjoyed the experience playing Timi.
“Leonard assure his fans they would enjoy seeing this movie this Easter period, as it connects with this reason for the season.”
Alter Date parades an all star cast list like Bolanle Ninalowo, Tana Adelana, Fredrick Leonard, Lilian Esoro. Produced by Yemisi Banjoko and directed by Marc Adebesin.
Alter Date premieres 7pm, at SilverBirds Cinemas Ikeja.
