Mary revealed via Instagram that she suffered food poisoning while on a movie set and asked a staff member to purchase Imodium from a reputable pharmacy. Despite using the medication for three days, her symptoms persisted.

The ROK Studios founder said she only began to recover after her husband, Jason Njoku, returned from a trip abroad and brought her the same medication. “I took it and my stomach issues subsided within just five minutes,” she added.

This prompted Mary to question the integrity of pharmaceuticals being sold in Nigerian pharmacies and to call for urgent action.

“This is very dangerous,” she warned. “This isn’t the first time I have noticed a difference. So I have to ask: What exactly are we being sold in Nigeria? NAFDAC must take this seriously.”
