The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was established and made for all Nigerian university graduates. While millions of graduates observe the program every year, very few Nigerian celebrities heed to the clarion call.

However, it appears all that is changing in recent times as more young celebrities are halting their work and hustle and finding their way to NYSC camps to join other Nigerian graduates to serve their motherland.

Just recently, Nollywood actor, Samuel Ajirebi shared photos of himself as he rocked his NYSC khaki uniform. The actor revealed that he is serving the nation all the way in Benue and interestingly, seems to be enjoying himself.

Recall that Nigerian mega superstar Davido followed the same pattern a short while back when he was spotted in Lagos NYSC camp reporting for duty.

Although the OBO was reported to have spent a short while on camp, many Nigerians still found it laudable that he took time out of his busy life to humbly serve the nation.

Meanwhile, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara has expressed his displeasure at the deplorable condition of facilities at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, in Yikpata, Edu local government area of the state.

The governor, who made unscheduled visit to the camp on Wednesday, June 19, described the orientation camp as a “penitentiary that is not fit for human living.”

He said that the administration would do something quickly to renovate the camp, beginning with fixing the water and health facilities.
