The stories of woes trailing the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, have been going on for a long time as fans do not fail to see the downsides of the industry. Well, it seems even the actors are aware of these negativities and they are also directly affected by it. Nigerian film star, Kemi Lala-Akindoju, has taken to social media to highlight the challenges Nollywood and its actors have been facing for years.
According to her, actors cannot survive on what they earn from acting and many of them have to complement their talent with other side jobs because there are bills to be paid. In one of her tweets, Lala explained that many Nollywood actors become friends with poverty and they are frustrated because they cannot give their best.
Lala advised that it is better for actors to learn additional skills so that they can also earn off the camera.
