Stop asking men for things you can’t afford – Williams Uchemba tells ladies

Published

Popular Nigerian actor, Williams Uchemba has tackled ladies who demand things they can’t ordinarily afford from men.

The actor stated this while revealing the reasons many ladies are still single.

Speaking in a post on his official Facebook page, Uchemba claimed that some ladies entitlement mentality is the reason they are not married.

He further advised that women should appeal instead of requesting even if there’s need to ask.

“Ladies listen, there is a law that says anything you cannot afford do not request it in a restaurant.

“There is a mentality that is creeping in most women in this generation and this is the reason you say there is no husband. I don’t think you have any business requesting things that you can never get to afford in your wildest dreams even if you work for 10 years from a man.

“It is a spirit. There are some of you that will end up not getting married until you deal with it. Because no man will want to put you in his house. It has become a pandemic where most women now think it is normal to make crazy requests. What you need to understand is that any man who likes you genuinely will spend on you.

“Why are you asking for a G wagon, iPhone 15 from a man when you know you cannot afford it? It is a spirit of greed. It has everything to do with some elements of Jezebelian spirit, no man will put you in the house until you deal with it.

“There is a difference between appealing and requesting. When a wife wants to ask for something, she does not request it, she appeals to the husband. There is nothing wrong in appealing but those women who think it is their right have a problem.

“That is why you see people you think you are better than getting married and you are wondering. They got married because they have character. Or do you think it is your body that keeps a man? Dey play. That thing you think keeps a man is temporary. Wait until you give birth. Do not place value on those, place value on your character.”

Nollywood veteran, Kanayo O. Kanayo, described men as “endangered species,” criticising wealthy men for financially favouring female actors over their male counterparts.

Nollywood legend Kanayo O. Kanayo has sparked discussions after describing men as “endangered species” in a recent episode of ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast, co-hosted by Husband Material and Deity Cole.

He pointed out that while women in the industry often receive millions for personal projects, male actors are left struggling.

Kanayo also noted that men, unlike women, are more likely to seek financial assistance for medical emergencies, further highlighting the gender imbalance in support within the industry.
