A video showing the emotional moment Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi’s son broke down in tears, begging the late actor for forgiveness during his funeral, has been shared online.

The 49-year-old thespian, who passed away on Sunday, May 14, was laid to rest in Ikorodu, Lagos State, on Monday evening.

One of the videos from the funeral, which has been shared online, shows a young man, who is said to be the actor’s first son, crying profusely as he pays tribute to his late father.

Amidst tears, he revealed that Murphy had done so much for him as a father before his demise.

He recounted how he unexpectedly received the sum of N150k from the actor a few days before the incident and how Murphy even asked to meet his wife and daughter, something he had never asked for before.

He added that he had offended his father before his passing and begged for his forgiveness.
