Nigerian actor and model Tobi Bakre on Wednesday urged aspiring entertainers to embrace diligence, professionalism and consistency as the foundation for long-term success in the industry.

Speaking during an appearance on the Menisms Podcast, Tobi Bakre emphasised that every opportunity, regardless of size, should be approached with seriousness, noting that unseen observers often influence career-defining moments.

He added that individuals who consistently show commitment and discipline are more likely to attract trust and bigger responsibilities.

Drawing a vivid example, Tobi Bakre explained that he would confidently assign major responsibilities to someone in a modest role, such as a car washer, if that person demonstrated exceptional dedication and seriousness in their work.

He described such behaviour as a clear indicator of capability and reliability.

Tobi Bakre, who rose to prominence as a finalist in the 2018 edition of Big Brother Naija, has since built a formidable presence in Nollywood.

In 2025, he emerged as one of the industry’s highest-grossing actors, with box office earnings exceeding N1.4 billion.

His film credits include standout performances in Gangs of Lagos, Brotherhood, and the series Slum King, with his role in Brotherhood earning him the Best Actor in a Drama award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
