Danielle is the daughter of Yul Edochie and his estranged wife, May Edochie, and has recently been at the centre of online discussions following her graduation, which the actor did not publicly celebrate.

Speaking during an appearance on the Honest Bunch Podcast, Yul Edochie addressed questions about his current relationship with Danielle, stating that they remain on good terms.

He explained that his daughter is 21 years old and may not yet fully understand his perspective, adding that he also did not fully understand his own father at that age.

According to him, family dynamics often lead children to naturally align more closely with their mothers, describing it as a normal occurrence in such situations.

“We are very close. She is just 21, I don’t expect her to understand me. When I was 21 years old, I didn’t understand my father,” he said.

He further noted that emotional responses within families are often influenced by circumstances, suggesting that differences in perception are expected.

Following his remarks, reactions on social media were mixed, with many users expressing strong opinions about his family situation and past decisions.

Some commenters suggested that Danielle may still be emotionally affected by the breakdown of her parents’ marriage, while others urged the actor to focus more on his career.

Others criticised his actions within his first marriage, linking them to ongoing tensions within the family.
