Zubby Michael, a Nigerian film star, has said he donates a portion of his earnings directly to the needy on the streets, describing it as his version of tithe during a recent interview in Nigeria on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The tithe claim was made during an appearance on Broadway TV, where the actor stated that he prefers giving money directly to vulnerable people rather than making traditional religious donations.

Michael said he allocates 10 percent of his income to street outreach, which he described as a consistent personal practice.

“Not to brag, but I am the richest actor. I recently made N102 million from an artist fee, and I donated N10.2 million to the needy on the street,” he said.

The statement has sparked mixed reactions, particularly as the actor also said he does not pay tithe to any church and does not regularly attend church services.

He maintained that his approach to giving is rooted in personal conviction and direct impact, insisting that helping people on the streets brings him fulfilment.

Michael further claimed significant financial success in recent projects, stating that his recent earnings represent a major milestone in his acting career.
