Nigerian musician 2Baba missing person report, filed by his mother, is addressed by the singer who jokes about being kidnapped despite public appearances

Popular Nigerian musician Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has publicly addressed the recent “missing person” report filed by his mother with security agencies.

Weeks prior, 2Baba’s mother reportedly contacted the Department of State Services (DSS), expressing concern over her son’s whereabouts and stating that the family was unaware of his location.

Despite being seen in public on numerous occasions since the report was made, the singer recently made light of the situation during a comedy show.

“Allegedly, I have been missing. Allegedly I have been kidnapped. So as we come Acapella show, this show is to generate money for the kidnappers to release me,” 2Baba quipped, seemingly downplaying the seriousness of his mother’s concerns.

This statement follows comments made by Natasha Osawaru, 2Baba’s rumoured love interest, who refuted allegations that she was holding him against his will. She asserted that 2Baba is an adult who made his own choices to be with her.

Despite public scrutiny and his mother’s reported alarm, 2Baba and Natasha Osawaru have continued to make joint public appearances, seemingly unfazed by the ongoing speculation and criticism.

The discrepancy between the “missing person” report and 2Baba’s continued visibility has raised eyebrows and fuelled further discussion amongst fans and the media.
