Nollywood actress Anita Joseph has asked suitors to stop flooding her social media after confirming the end of her five-year marriage to hypeman Michael Fisayo Olagunju, popularly known as MC Fish.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Joseph revealed that while she does not have all the answers about the breakdown of her marriage, she has chosen to embrace grace, growth, and faith following the painful experience.

Hours after announcing her new relationship status, the actress posted an Instagram story appealing for privacy. She stated, “I’m single, but I’m not searching, plz. You guys rest, don’t flood my DMs, my phone will crash.”

The announcement drew a mixture of reactions from fans online. Some users praised her honesty and resilience, while others criticised the attention from unsolicited suitors.

Linda Ben-Whyte wrote, “Was it not what the announcement was meant for…why the pretence,” while Uchman Okagba commented, “Congratulations on your ending your marriage. Wishing you the best.”

Joseph also responded to a suggestion from a fan to revert to her father’s name following the divorce, though she did not elaborate further.

Earlier reports noted that seer Bright had predicted a spiritual calling for the couple, stating they were destined to work for God, and that they could not evade this purpose.
