Cardi B, who was four months pregnant at the time, denied the accusations, testifying that Ellis had invaded her personal space and persistently filmed her without permission.

After roughly an hour of deliberation, the jury found Cardi B not liable for assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, or false imprisonment.

Speaking to reporters post-verdict, Cardi B stated firmly, “I work all day and I work hard for my money, for my kids, for the people that I take care of. So don’t you ever think that you’re going to sue me, and I’m just going to settle.”

She also asked fans and the public to respect the privacy of Ellis and her family moving forward.

In a separate moment shortly after the trial, Cardi B confronted a reporter who asked invasive and disrespectful questions about her personal life.
