Veteran Nigerian actor Dele Odule has revealed a deeply emotional moment from his past, disclosing that he once went as far as pricing his own casket during a period of intense despair over his career.

Dele Odule shares emotional revelation about casket pricing was made during an interview with Feelright TV, where the respected Yoruba actor opened up about what he described as one of the darkest phases of his life.

Dele Odule said the incident occurred when he felt completely overwhelmed by hopelessness and believed his acting career would no longer progress. He added that he was accompanied by fellow actor Olaiya Igwe, who was visibly moved by the experience.

According to him, the moment was not linked to illness but rather emotional exhaustion and frustration over perceived stagnation in his professional journey, especially when compared to peers who had achieved greater financial stability.

The veteran actor expressed that the experience left a lasting impression on him, reflecting the psychological pressures often faced within the entertainment industry.

Odule, who began his acting journey in the 1970s, rose to prominence in the early 1990s following his role in the classic Yoruba film Ti Oluwa Nile, which remains a defining work in his career.
