In a heartfelt Instagram post, the Nollywood actress revealed how the condition has led to body shaming, online trolling, and emotional struggles.

She explained that she has battled with stubborn body fat and facial hair — two common symptoms of PCOS — for years, often facing unkind comments about her appearance.

Etinosa shared that her journey to understanding the root of her symptoms began after a troll mocked her online. Rather than reacting in anger, she decided to research the condition and later consulted her gynaecologist, who confirmed her diagnosis.

“A lady came to troll me talking about visceral fat. I didn’t get angry, I googled it and found out it is from a female targeted medical condition called PCOS,” she wrote.

The actress, who recently underwent surgery to reduce excess fat, said she was initially unaware of the link between her symptoms and PCOS. According to her doctor, the condition has no cure but can be managed with lifestyle adjustments and medical treatment.

In a touching message to women going through similar experiences, Etinosa Idemudia encouraged them to stay strong and never feel less than others because of the disorder.

“I’m writing this to every woman out there with PCOS to tell you that you are not alone. Even if it’s your husband that is mocking you or strangers online, you will overcome.
