Funke Akindele Opens Up: Why I Don’t See My Failed Marriages as Failures

Popular Nollywood producer, Funke Akindele, recently shared her perspective on failures, emphasizing that she doesn’t view her past marriages as such. Speaking in an interview with Wazobia FM in Lagos, Akindele revealed that her mother instilled in her the belief that failures are integral to eventual success.

Akindele expressed a pragmatic approach to marriage, stating that she takes it “as it comes” and places significant importance on her mental health and career. She outlined her life’s purpose, highlighting the importance of living meaningfully, inspiring the younger generation, and being a pillar of support for her children and siblings.

She stated, “If you ask me now can you tell me one failure, I don’t see it as a failure. My personal life – marriage, I just take it as it comes. My mental health is very important. My career is very important, darling.”
