“I am sorry for the worry that I have put you through” Actress Funmi Awelewa pens teary-eyed note to her blind mother

Nollywood actress Funmi Awelewa has aroused emotions with her touching message to her blind mother.

The actress took to her Instagram page to pen an appreciation post to her blind mother.

Funmi Awelewa appreciated her for being the first place her heart could call home.

She noted how her mother’s hand was the first hand that held her.

Admitting all her wrongs, Funmi apologised to her for the mistakes she made and for the worries she caused her.

Funmi Awelewa pens letter to her mother

“Maami Thank you for being the first place my heart could call home. The hands that held me first are still the ones that hold me when I feel lost. Dear mom, I’m sorry for the worry that I have ever put you through as I learned my mistakes and you still help carry me through. I love you and thank you for everything.

When I fell and cried, mom you were always there to pray and cry with me to make it go away. It is because of you, that I am stronger. Your prayers keeps me going… Thank you! As I’ve grown older, I realize all you give up for me and I hope to do the same for you. I hope to make you happy for the rest of your life. For all the times you have given things to mu siblings and I, all the times you sold your best clothes just to feed us, for all the times you couldn’t meet up standards with your friends because you want to give us best life. It is time for me to start giving back to you, Moinmi. Thank you for giving me wings so that I may try to learn how to fly even though you sometimes have to catch me when I fall. I only soar higher, mom because of you.

For all the times I never said thank you because I thought you knew, I thank you now more than ever, Moinmi. I love you Mom and I pray God grant you long life to enjoy this new life you’re about to begin. I go too spoil you with Money don’t worry Iya Morili. God is with us”.

Funmi Awelewa opens up on her mother’s health

Recall that Funmi Awelewa had opened up on the challenges of taking care of her mother.

The actress recalled some of the challenges in caring for her ailing mother, which affected her career.

Funmi revealed that the past months were tough for her. According to her, she lost her mind and couldn’t find a better word to describe how she felt.

She added that her mother’s health affected her career, and she stopped going to movie locations because she needed to concentrate on taking care of her.

According to Funmi Awelewa, she turned down many private parties, and some of her colleagues thought she was proud and didn’t want to mingle, not knowing she was battling with her mother’s health.
