Anita Joseph and MC Fish relationship controversy deepens as the celebrity hype man admits both parties cheated during the union

MC Fish, the estranged husband of Nollywood actress Anita Joseph, has publicly addressed the collapse of their marriage for the first time, admitting that both parties were unfaithful during the relationship.

The celebrity hype man made the revelation while reacting to media personality Frank Edoho’s marital controversy, using his own failed union as an example of the complexities surrounding marriage and infidelity.

MC Fish claimed Anita Joseph cheated on him with several men, although he declined to reveal identities. He also admitted to being unfaithful during the marriage, insisting that neither partner was innocent.

“In my marriage, both parties cheated. I cheated on Anita Joseph, and she cheated on me too,” MC Fish said in a video circulating on social media.

The entertainer stressed that he deliberately avoided discussing the breakdown of the marriage online, arguing that many people would never have known about the separation if Anita Joseph had not spoken publicly about it.

MC Fish disclosed that he moved out of their matrimonial home in July 2025, several months before reports of the split surfaced publicly in December.

According to him, leaving the marriage also meant severing ties with women he had been involved with during the relationship, as he chose to begin a “clean slate” with a new partner.

The remarks have reignited public attention around the highly publicised collapse of the couple’s five year union, which had previously drawn speculation across entertainment circles.

In December 2025, Anita Joseph confirmed the end of the marriage, describing the period as a painful season marked by reflection, healing, and personal growth.

The actress also appealed for privacy at the time, questioning why many people were eager to hear intimate details about her separation.

Earlier reports from entertainment insiders alleged the marriage faced severe emotional strain, including claims of pregnancy losses and domestic violence allegations, although MC Fish has denied physically abusing the actress.

“The only thing here is that I never hit her for a single day,” he said while defending himself against allegations circulating online.

The controversy gained fresh momentum earlier this year after videos and photographs of MC Fish and his new partner surfaced online, triggering criticism from social media users.

Responding to the backlash, MC Fish argued that men are often judged differently after breakups, claiming society reacts more harshly when men move on publicly after failed relationships.

His current partner, identified as Gbemso, also defended their relationship, stating that she met MC Fish after his marriage had already ended.
