Nkechi Blessing ceiling collapse became a trending topic on social media after the Nollywood actress narrowly avoided injury when a section of the POP ceiling in her Lekki home unexpectedly gave way.

The actress, known for her bold roles in films like The Ghost and the Tout, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share footage of the collapsed ceiling and vent her shock at the incident.

The video, cited by PUNCH Online, showed a large chunk of the decorative ceiling scattered on the floor.

“Come to Lekki they said,” she wrote. “Thank God no be inside house and my new car no dey there… wetin I for talk abeg? It’s well with una Lekki developers.”

Blessing highlighted how dangerously close the collapse came to her newly purchased vehicle, expressing relief that neither she nor the car was harmed.

This close call comes just a few months after Nkechi Blessing confirmed her breakup with social media personality Xxssive (Eseoghene Obire) in May 2025.
