Rachael Okonkwo urges youths to remain hopeful, sharing her journey from humble beginnings and inspiring Nigerians to overcome life’s challenges

Nollywood actress and author Rachael Okonkwo, encouraged young Nigerians to remain hopeful despite life’s difficulties, sharing lessons from her personal journey and rise in the entertainment industry.

Speaking at an event in Lagos, Okonkwo reflected on her early years in Nollywood, describing her path as one that began with humble beginnings and required persistence, faith and determination.

The actress said her experiences have strengthened her belief that challenges should not prevent young people from pursuing their dreams.

Rachael Okonkwo urged youths to draw inspiration from her story and continue working towards their goals, regardless of their current circumstances.

“I feel proud of myself. I’m glad I’ve come this far, and I’m happy to have written something that will inspire, encourage and motivate women to keep believing in themselves, no matter what they are going through or where they come from,” she said.

Okonkwo, who has also ventured into writing, explained that her work is aimed at encouraging women and young people to recognise their potential and remain confident about the future.

She added that she hopes her message will remind readers that setbacks are temporary and that personal growth often comes through difficult seasons.

“I want everyone who reads this book to leave feeling encouraged and empowered. I want this book to remind them that the future is still bright and that they can rise above every setback,” she stated.

The actress’ message comes at a time when many young Nigerians continue to navigate economic pressures, career uncertainties and changing social realities.
