Regina Daniels slams Angela Okorie

Nollywood star Regina Daniels hits back at Angela Okorie for criticising Mercy Johnson, calling her “mad” and saying forgiveness isn’t an option in this heated celebrity feud

Angela Okorie had claimed during an Instagram Live session that she had “forgiven” Mercy Johnson following reports that the actress and mother of four is seriously ill.

However, she added a sting in the tail, suggesting Mercy should still seek forgiveness from people she has allegedly wronged.

Okorie criticised Mercy’s use of religious language, saying it does not reflect her “true character” and accused her of hypocrisy.

Regina Daniels, visibly angered by the remarks, hit back in an Instagram Story post, sharply rebuking Angela Okorie and defending Mercy Johnson with strong words.

“I’m sorry, and with all due respect, Aunty Angela, you dey mad! Abeg no forgive because for this side, we no dey forgive. Continue and whilst at it, no forget say she get pikin wey gidigba. No dey shalaye!!” wrote Regina, who is married to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.

This latest exchange adds fuel to an ongoing rift. Just last month, Angela Okorie accused Mercy Johnson of lying about her weight loss, stating it wasn’t the result of slimming tea as claimed, but because “she has no more blood to suck.”

She alleged that Mercy had ruined lives and destroyed homes, and insisted she must seek atonement or face continued unrest.

The escalating feud has drawn reactions from fans and Nollywood insiders, with many urging both sides to de-escalate the situation and prioritise peace.

As of now, Mercy Johnson has not responded publicly to either Angela Okorie’s or Regina Daniels’ comments.
