The Nollywood actress shares how she initially ignored her husband before accepting what she described as a spiritual confirmation of their marriage

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has opened up on the emotional and spiritual circumstances surrounding how she met her husband, revealing that she initially showed no interest before what she described as a divine confirmation changed the course of their relationship.

Ruth Kadiri shared the experience during a recent interview with DANG, where she reflected on her personal journey to marriage and her early attitude towards relationships.

The actress explained that she did not grow up with pressure to marry and had never strongly envisioned marriage as a life goal, adding that her perspective shifted unexpectedly after meeting her husband.

According to her, she initially had no romantic interest and even attempted to distance herself from the relationship.

“I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry,” she said.

Kadiri recounted that at the moment she was about to walk away, she believed she received what she described as a spiritual message confirming that the man she had met would become her husband.

“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me,” she said.

Despite her initial hesitation, she disclosed that her husband persisted in pursuing the relationship, eventually proposing four months later, which she accepted.

She added that the experience reinforced her belief in spiritual guidance in major life decisions, particularly in matters of relationships and marriage.
