Abeni Agbon kissing scene with married actor sparks outrage online. Fans question the veteran’s choice as reactions to the viral Nollywood clip continue rising

Social media users were quick to react, with many expressing surprise and disapproval. “This is not the Abeni Agbon we grew up watching,” one user commented.

Known for playing deeply traditional and morally upright roles since the 1980s, the actress, whose real name is Toyin Oladiran, rarely appears in romantic scenes.

In the film, Abeni Agbon, often cast as a high-ranking spiritual leader or witch, took on a role that many felt was out of character.

The lip-lock with a much younger and married co-star has prompted widespread debate about professionalism, boundaries, and public image.

Despite the criticism, some fans have defended her right to evolve as an actor. Others, however, labelled the scene as “disgusting” and questioned the necessity of such a moment in the film.
