Asake becomes the most-streamed artist on Spotify Nigeria, topping both artist and song charts, ahead of Wizkid, Seyi Vibez, Burna Boy, and Davido

Singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has been named the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria, the global streaming platform announced on Monday.

The announcement comes as Spotify marks its fifth anniversary in Nigeria, revealing the top five most-streamed artists in the country.

Asake claimed the top spot, followed by Wizkid in second place and Seyi Vibez in third.

Burna Boy and Davido occupied the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

Spotify also unveiled the most-streamed songs of all time on its Nigerian platform, with Asake’s hit single Remember taking the number one spot.

Other songs in the top five included Ayo Maff and Fireboy’s Dealer, Fido’s Awolowo, Wizkid’s Kese, and Asake’s Lonely At The Top.

Nigerian music also dominated Spotify Kenya’s all-time streams.

Ruger’s Asiwaju, Ayra Starr’s Rush, Fireboy’s Bandana, and Asake’s Lonely At The Top ranked first, second, third, and fifth respectively, with Kenyan singer Bein’s Inauma at fourth.

On Spotify Ghana, the most-streamed song of all time was Wotowoto Seasoning by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck featuring Ghanaian star Black Sherif.

Asake’s Lonely At The Top ranked second, while the remaining top spots were claimed by tracks from Black Sherif.

The announcements highlight Asake’s dominance in streaming across Nigeria and the broader African music landscape, cementing his position as a leading figure in Afrobeats.
