Known for her hit track “Eleyele”, Oke became visibly emotional as she apologised to supporters and admitted that she was struggling to cope with the pressures confronting her professional life.

“To my fans, I’m sorry. I never planned to do this but I can’t take this anymore. I’m done. Good music don’t sell anymore. How can you eat when there’s no food? How can you be at peace when there’s no peace,” she said, as captured in the now-viral video.

The singer expressed deep frustration with the current realities of Nigeria’s entertainment industry, suggesting that talent and spiritual gifting were no longer enough to ensure success.

She also hinted at financial instability and emotional exhaustion as contributing factors.

Busola Oke reportedly remains in a long-running dispute with her producer, Bayo Films, a development that has affected her career in recent years.

During the live session, she revealed feelings of abandonment by individuals who had once supported her during her rise to prominence.

“There can be no peace when there is no financial stability,” she said, adding rhetorically that basic needs such as transportation are essential for functioning.

Her notable tracks include “Eleyele”, “Ogo Tuntun”, “Asoro Ma Tase”, “Alanu”, and “Adaba”, all of which have cemented her place as one of Nigeria’s notable gospel voices.

Following the emotional broadcast, fans and well-wishers took to social media to offer prayers, encouragement, and support, urging her to remain strong despite the current challenges.
