I didn’t hijack Easter Sunday date from you, AY Comedian fires back at colleague, Julius Agwu, threatens lawsuit

Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, otherwise known as AY, has responded to allegations made against him by his colleague Julius Agwu in a recent interview.

During the interview with Naija FM a few days ago, Julius Agwu accused AY of hijacking his Easter Sunday date for his show.

He recalled calling AY to request a rescheduling of his yearly Easter Sunday comedy show, AY Live, because it coincided with his own event, Laugh for Christ’s Sake.

According to him, Easter Sunday was the day he held his Laugh for Christ’s Sake comedy show for years, and he was surprised that AY chose the same date for his show.

He claimed AY blatantly refused and hung up on him.

Reacting to the accusations, in a lengthy post on his Instagram page, AY, with proof, denied hijacking the date from Julius Agwu and threatened to take legal action against him.

“The truth remains the only ultimate power to downplay all the lies in a place where the INTERNET NEVER FORGETS. Dear senior colleague Julius Agwu, my question is, how is it even possible to lay claims to the fact that i took over your Easter Sunday date with the following verifiable facts..
