Nollywood actress Chizzy Alichi responds to baby questions while celebrating her first anniversary as a mother with gratitude and prayers

Nollywood actress Chizzy Alichi has addressed public curiosity over when she plans to have another child, emphasising that pregnancy and motherhood are not easy.

In a recent Instagram video, Alichi, who welcomed her first child last year, told fans to “let her be” as she continues to navigate early motherhood.

“When are you giving us another baby? Let me be o. It is not easy,” she said.

The actress marked her son’s first birthday on March 4th, sharing a video that recounted the challenges of his premature birth and time spent in an incubator.

She expressed gratitude to God for His faithfulness and encouraged those who trust in Him to remain confident.

Alichi also shared photos from the birthday celebration, calling for prayers for her son and reflecting on the life-changing experience of becoming a mother.

Earlier, on May 7th, 2025, Alichi and her husband, Chike Mbah, announced the birth of their son, describing the experience as the most difficult of her life.

In October, the couple held a lavish dedication ceremony for their child, attended by prominent Nollywood personalities including Rita Dominic, Nasty Blaq, Charles Okocha, Peggy Ovire, Nancy Isime, Medlin Boss, and Uche Elendu.

During the celebration, Alichi described the milestone as a dream come true and prayed for twins in the future.

In December, she and her husband also celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary, reflecting on the journey of marriage and parenthood.

Sharing intimate family photos, Alichi noted that her son’s arrival “made everything perfect,” highlighting the joy and gratitude she feels as a first-time mother.
