Kunle Afod sparks controversy after claiming women cheat as much as men but are discreet, while also criticizing sex toy use in marriages

Nollywood actor and filmmaker Kunle Afod has drawn criticism over his remarks on relationships, infidelity, and marriage.

In a recent interview with actress Biola Bayo, Afod suggested that women are just as unfaithful as men but often more discreet. He tied the rising demand for DNA testing in Nigeria to women’s alleged infidelity.

“I believe women cheat just as men, just that they are smarter. Immediately a man starts having an affair, the wife will notice. The issue of DNA has most women as culprits,” Afod said.

The actor also condemned the use of sex toys, comparing them to idol worship. “Women now cheat to the extent of having multiple dildos.

Is one dildo not enough? You say you don’t want to cheat on your husband, yet you bought a dildo. In my heart, you already worshipped an idol,” he added.

Despite the controversial tone of his statements, Afod praised his wife, Desola, for her resilience in their marriage. He acknowledged that their relationship has faced challenges but credited her for holding the family together.

“Any home that survives the test of time, the woman is the one responsible for it. My wife and I have our own issues, just the same way, but it’s every home. I want to tell her today that she is the best woman ever,” Afod said.
