Nollywood actor, Deyemi Okanlawon has tendered an apology to HOR-Elect for Eti-Osa Constituency, Thaddeus Attah.
Recall that following Banky W’s defeat, Deyemi had written an open letter to Thaddeus where he questioned his plans for the people of Eti-Osa.
The open letter didn’t sit well with many as they dragged him for being condescending. Addressing the backlash, Deyemi Okanlawon, via a video on his Instagram page, apologised to the new HOR as well as those who were offended by his post.

Addressing the backlash, Deyemi Okanlawon, via a video on his Instagram page, apologised to the new HOR as well as those who were offended by his post.
Taking accountability for his actions, he noted how he could have chosen better words and shouldn’t have transferred his aggression to him.
He, however, reiterated that he desires to have an online interview with him at his convenience as a concerned Eti-Osa resident and would be grateful if he respond to him.
“In the early hours of today, in the spirit of the season wrote an open letter to the HOR-elect of Eti-Osa Local Government area, Mr Thaddeus Attah. I admit I could have chosen better words and I could have not allowed the frustration that I have felt about this past week to affect the message that I was trying to pass across. So I apologize to Mr Attah and everyone who felt I was overreaching. I would now try to focus on the core of what I am saying so it’s clear and can’t be misconstrued in any way. I live in Eti-Osa”.

In the lengthy letter, Deyemi made it known that he voted for Banky W as he believes he would have been the best candidate for the job.
Deyemi expressed his concerns and worries over the high rate of tribal sentiments, cyberbullying, and herd mentality on all sides played in the electoral process.
Congratulatory him on his victory, he questioned what Thaddeus’s plans are for Eti-Osa as he has done thorough research about him and is yet to find anything about his plans for Eti-Osa.
He sent an open invitation to him to join him online for a live Instagram conversation to address concerns and respond to questions.
