Yul Edochie had earlier urged men to stop tolerating disrespect from women, advising them to leave relationships where they are not respected and find partners who value them, stressing that respect is non-negotiable for men.

In response, Emmanuel Obasi took to his Facebook page to express a contrasting view, stating that respect is earned rather than demanded or enforced.

He referenced the biblical story of Samson and Delilah, suggesting that pride and misplaced trust led to Samson’s downfall, ultimately resulting in his destruction.

“Respect is earned, not forced,” Emmanuel Obasi wrote, adding a symbolic reference to Samson’s tragic end as a cautionary illustration.

His remarks have since generated attention online, with many interpreting the post as a direct shade at Yul Edochie’s viral statement.
