Do2dtun slams Bauchi Hisbah over controversial DJ and entertainment ban at weddings, calling the policy backward and job-killing.

Popular media personality and hype man Do2dtun has harshly criticised the Bauchi State Hisbah Commission over its recent decision to ban DJs and entertainment at weddings and social gatherings.

Reacting to the commission’s 16 new regulations aimed at “restoring moral and spiritual values” in marriage, Do2dtun called the move “ignorant” and “useless.

” His comments have sparked intense debate across social media.

“If you are the one that came up with the law to ban DJs and event planners in a state, then you are very, very useless,” the 41-year-old said in a social media video.

“What a complete level of ignorance tied to hopelessness and joblessness. What is the effect of such law? Some people are so backward in this Nigeria.”

The Do2dtun Hisbah DJ ban reaction comes after Hisbah, operating under Sharia law, claimed that loud music, flamboyant parties, and excessive celebration at weddings are eroding the spiritual sanctity of marriages.

According to the commission, this cultural shift is contributing to the rise in divorce cases across the state.

Under the new laws, DJs, gala events, kawayawade, aloba, and other forms of entertainment labelled as “morally inappropriate” are now banned.

These regulations will be enforced at venues including event centres, clubs, and recreational spots. Hisbah cited sections 95, 362, and 373 of the Bauchi State Sharia Penal Code as the legal foundation.

Do2dtun’s comments have divided public opinion. Many Nigerians agree with his stance, accusing Hisbah of stifling cultural expression and creativity.

Others support the commission’s efforts to preserve traditional and religious values in public life.
