Foluke Daramola APC House of Representatives Oshodi-Isolo as Nollywood filmmaker obtains APC nomination forms to contest 2027 election

Filmmaker and Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola has obtained the nomination and expression of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

APC: Foluke Daramola joins House of Representatives race for Oshodi-Isolo became the focus after she declared her ambition to represent Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency I in the House of Representatives.

She announced the development on Facebook, where she shared photos of herself holding the APC nomination forms.

The actress, who has been active in Nollywood since the late 1990s, had earlier declared her intention to join politics, signalling a shift toward public service.

In her message to supporters, she reaffirmed her commitment to community development and service delivery if elected.

“As your servant and potential aspirant for the House of Representatives… I lift you up in prayers,” she wrote, praying for unity and progress in the constituency.

Foluke Daramola has featured in several Yoruba and English-language films and is also known for her advocacy work against sexual violence and abuse through her foundation.

Her entry into the 2027 race adds to the growing number of entertainers transitioning into Nigerian politics.

The APC had earlier released its timetable and guidelines for the 2027 elections, including nomination procedures for various political offices.
