Funke Akindele credits God for the success of ‘Behind The Scenes,’ urging cast and crew not to hype her achievements

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has emphasised that the success of her record-breaking film Behind The Scenes is the work of God, according to comedian Akinyoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo State.

Kamo State, who shares a close professional relationship with Akindele, revealed on Instagram that the actress, from the very start of filming, reminded the cast and crew that the project was divinely chosen.

She insisted that all accolades and achievements should be attributed to God.

He also disclosed that Akindele cautioned against overhyping her, regardless of the film’s performance. Reflecting on the movie’s success, Kamo State expressed gratitude for both the project and the actress’s guidance.

“Lafunky said something to me at the beginning of Behind The Scenes film shoot, she said this job was picked by God and the glory should be given to God no matter the achievement… She warned us not to hype her no matter what this film brings,” Kamo State wrote.

He added: “Today I’m grateful to God for all he is doing with BTS and the Funke Akindele Brand as a whole. God is on your side!”
