In a heartfelt plea posted on his Instagram account on November 16, 2023, veteran Nollywood actor Hanks Anuku reached out to Nigerians, seeking financial aid following the circulation of a viral video capturing him in a distressed state at a petrol station. Expressing gratitude in advance, Anuku revealed that he has been unemployed for several years, emphasizing his high level of education and contributions to the Nigerian film industry.

“I have worked for this country, attained a high degree of learning, and I have no job for God knows how many years,” Anuku stated, urging his fans and Governor Sheriff to provide support as a token of appreciation for his years of service to Nollywood.

In a caption accompanying the post, Anuku extended thanks for anticipated generous donations, shedding light on his current situation. He emphasized the importance of the assistance for himself and his family, leaving his account details for willing contributors.
