An actor, Kunle Afod, has said that though people, including entertainers, are leaving the group in droves, he has no plans to relocate to another country.

He told Sunday Scoop, “I don’t see myself relocating. I have been traveling for a very long time and my last trip was the longest. I was away for a month. I believe travelling is a form of education, so, if the access is there, why not?

“If visa is easy to access, people will go out of the country and come back. In that situation, I believe it is only a few that would want to relocate. However, I don’t blame anyone for wanting to relocate, because the country is in a mess. But, if we build this country together, I believe things can get better.”

Speaking on his latest movie, Afod stated that it dwells on love and religion. “It is centered around two lovers who practise different religions but destiny brings them together. The lady is the daughter of a sheik, while the guy is an evangelist. The father of the lady objects to their union.

“I decided to make the movie to sensitise people to the fact that, as human beings, I believe we all are one, regardless of individual beliefs.”

Funke Akindele Responds to Allegations After Adejumoke Aderounmu’s Demise (Video)

In response to the comments made by the brother of the late Adejumoke Aderounmu regarding the actress’s demise, Funke Akindele has taken to her Instagram live to clarify some issues surrounding her life.

Recall that Aderounmu, popularly known for her role as Esther in Jenifa’s Diary, passed away in the early hours of Saturday, 8th April 2024.

However, the brother of the deceased 37-year-old actress called out Akindele for sending her condolences after allegedly ignoring her when she needed help.

It happened that Akindele commented on the brother’s condolence message to his late sister on an Instagram blog post, saying, “Sad!!!! @jideawobona I still asked about her. Omg. May her soul rest in peace.”

In response, Aderounmu’s brother, in a series of posts via his Instagram page, commended Nollywood stars Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga for reaching out to his sister, unlike Funke.

The deceased’s brother added that there was no point in showing love when Funke Akindele failed to do the same when his sister was alive.

He wrote: “You that they called tirelessly, you didn’t show up, she even sent Pascal to you, and still, you didn’t reach out. Why the eye service now when she has passed away? Omo, shout-out to Rita Dominic and Sotayo Gaga. Terrible person! If you want to defend anybody, it’s fine. After all, there is nothing we can do about it.

“But don’t be a hypocrite by changing the narrative. Nobody is feeling entitled! If you refuse to show love when a person is alive, don’t do eye service when the person has passed away, just look away, and nobody will question your matter.”

In a dedicated live video on Instagram, the tearful Akindele revealed her relationship with the late Aderounmu and defended herself against the allegations by the brother.

“I’m so unhappy because, practically, you don’t know what I’m going through. I work hard; round the clock,” tearful Akindele lamented.
