In a candid interview with Biola Bayo, Nollywood actress Kiitan Bukola shared the deeply personal struggles that have shaped her outlook on marriage and family life.

Bukola revealed that while she cherishes the idea of marriage, lingering fears rooted in her childhood experiences make her apprehensive.

The actress explained that growing up without the presence and care of her father profoundly influenced her understanding of family dynamics.

“My father had many children, some of whom I’ve only met online,” she disclosed. “The absence of paternal love and care has left a lasting impact on me.

I didn’t get to experience that ideal parental love—both father and mother together. It hurts because I missed out on that stability.”

Her heartfelt revelations highlighted her determination to provide a better environment for her future children.

“I love marriage but at the same time, I am scared of it. I don’t want a situation where my kids are born outside wedlock.

I want to break the cycle and give my children the kind of family I never had.”

Kiitan’s bravery in addressing her struggles sheds light on the emotional scars many carry from their upbringing, sparking conversations about the importance of stability and love in family life.
