Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe ranks number one in the Critics’ Poll for Best Nigerian Performances of 2025 and joins The Nollywood 100 list

Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has been named number one in the Critics’ Poll for Best Nigerian Performances of 2025 and was also included in The Nollywood 100 list.

Sharing the achievement on her Instagram page, Aigbe expressed gratitude to critics, directors, storytellers, and audiences who have supported her career.

“Some moments remind you why you never stop believing in the work. Grateful. Truly grateful. To be recognized among The Nollywood 100 and ranked #1 in the Critics’ Poll for Best Nigerian Performances of 2025 is deeply humbling,” she wrote.

The recognition follows a strong year for Aigbe, who won Best Supporting Actress at the 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for her role in Farmer’s Bride.

With over two decades in Nollywood, she has starred in numerous Yoruba and English language films and has recently ventured into production with projects including Ada Omo Daddy and ThinLine.
