Sharing photos of Portable on her Instagram page, Ashabi Simple expressed her affection for him, referring to him as her choice and celebrity crush.

In her heartfelt birthday message, Ashabi Simple wished Portable abundant blessings in his new decade, invoking prayers for wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

The unexpected public display of affection comes in the wake of recent controversy, as Portable had accused Ashabi of attempting to ruined his marriage just days before.

The fast-rising singer, Portable, had publicly criticized Ashabi Simple, claiming that she was trying to destroy his marital life.

He urged her to seek love elsewhere and criticized her as an ungrateful woman.

Despite the ongoing feud, Ashabi Simple’s birthday message appears to be an attempt to reconcile, showcasing a different side to their relationship.

Nollywood filmmaker Frank Igho Vaughan passes away

Popular filmmaker and former Vice President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Frank Igho Okpokoro Vaughan, is dead.

Vaughan passed on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, after battling an undisclosed illness. The news was affirmed by the President of the Directors Guild of Nigeria, DGN, Victor Okhai, in a recent telephone conversation with Vanguard.

“Yes, he died yesterday, but I’m yet to get the details of his death,” Okhai said.

Vaughan, who was born in the 1960s, recently became a pastor at Dominion City Church, Asaba, Delta State. He was also a seasoned TV producer and director, as well as a current affairs and political analyst.

His death comes on the heels of actor Amaechi Muonagor, who died on March 24, 2024, at age 61 after battling a kidney disease.

BREAKING: EFCC arrests Bobrisky for naira abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested and detained controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, over abuse of naira, spraying of naira notes and currency mutilation.

Bobrisky, who has been embroiled in several controversies over the past weeks, was arrested in Lagos on Wednesday night, and has since been detained at the Lagos Command of the EFCC.

Confirming the development to our correspondent in a telephone interview on Thursday, the spokesperson for the EFCC, Dele Oyewale, noted that Bobrisky would be charged to court.

Oyewale said, “Bobrisky is with us. He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of naira notes, spraying of nara notes, and currency mutilation, among others.

“We are very serious about restoring the dignity of the naira. Though our investigation is still ongoing, but he will definitely be charged to court soon.”

Actress Habibat Jinad has revealed the reasons behind her decision to bleach her skin, citing pressure from a senior colleague, Mide Martins.

Speaking on Biola Bayo’s talk show, Talk To B, Habibat recounted an incident on the set of a movie directed by Mide’s husband, Afeez Owo.

During the incident, Habibat claimed that she was unjustly punished for a colleague’s mistake, and Mide Martins allegedly insulted her skin color in front of the entire crew, likening her complexion to that of a monkey.

These derogatory remarks deeply affected Habibat, leading her to consider skin bleaching in an attempt to conform to societal standards.

“At a rehearsal ground at Afeez Owo’s set, something happened, a colleague of mine did something and I wasn’t the one who did that thing and they said we should kneel.

“Mrs. Mide Martins was there, my boss was there and some other people and Mide Martins compared it to a monkey’s skin. And it got to me. She even complained about my skin, saying I was too dark and this made me contemplate bleaching my skin to please her and others,” Habibat explained.
