Kadiri shared her thoughts in a video posted online, where she described the situation as overwhelming and increasingly difficult for ordinary families to manage.

The actress said the cost of basic food items such as pepper and tomatoes has surged to the point where some families now spend as much as ₦5,000 on essentials for daily meals.

“If someone like me can feel it, I wonder what other people are going through,” she said, highlighting the widening gap between income levels and the cost of living.

She noted that persistent inflation is placing emotional and financial pressure on households, warning that prolonged hardship could contribute to frustration and tension within families.

Kadiri’s comments have sparked widespread reactions online, with many Nigerians agreeing that the rising cost of living has become increasingly unbearable.

Recent economic data shows that inflation in Nigeria continues to rise, with food prices driving much of the increase. Key staples such as pepper, yam flour, garri, and beef have all recorded significant price hikes in recent months.
