Filmmaker Omoni Oboli has revealed her secret to a 24-year marriage with her husband, Nnamdi Oboli. In a heartfelt interview, she shared that divorce was never an option for them right from the start.

“From day one, we decided that divorce was not an option even before we got married,” she said.

Their decision to stay together through all challenges was made before they even tied the knot. Omoni stressed that making the choice to remain married is the foundation of any lasting relationship.

Forgiveness, she said, has been key to their success. “There’s almost nothing someone can do that you can’t forgive, if you want to forgive,” she added.

She also opened up about their whirlwind romance. Nnamdi proposed just two weeks after they met, and they were married within four months. Omoni admitted the first year of marriage was chaotic, but the way Nnamdi loved her convinced her she had made the right choice.

“I was young. Till today, I don’t know how I agreed to marry him so quickly. But I know I fell in love with the way my husband loved me.”

Now a mother of three, she also revealed that her new film After a Night in July (Sequel) reflects parts of her own love story. “Our first year was turbulent, but we chose love,” she wrote on Instagram.
