Nigerian music stars Wizkid and Reekado Banks reunite in Lagos after their 2020 fallout, spotted dining together with rapper Shallipopi

Nigerian music heavyweights Wizkid and Reekado Banks have officially reconciled after years of tension, marking their first public appearance together since their widely publicised 2020 fallout.

The duo was spotted dining together at a Lagos restaurant on Tuesday alongside fast-rising rapper Shallipopi, sparking excitement among fans.

Their reunion also included Wizkid’s visit to Reekado Banks’ newly opened lounge, a clear sign that the rift between them has been resolved.

Their disagreement began in October 2020 when Reekado Banks announced the release of his single *Omo Ologo* featuring Wizkid amid the nationwide #EndSARS protests against police brutality in Nigeria.

Wizkid criticised the timing of the release, calling Reekado a “clout animal” and urging him to delete the post, referring to the song as “old” and inappropriate given the circumstances.

However, the viral video of their recent get-together shows the two artists sharing laughs and good vibes, suggesting they’ve put the past behind them.

Fans have welcomed their reconciliation, hoping it could lead to new collaborations and strengthen their influence in the Nigerian music industry.
