Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, denies song theft allegations from his twin brother Paul, affirming co-ownership of their disputed track, “Winning”.

Popular Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, famously known as Mr P and one half of the iconic duo P-Square, has firmly denied allegations of song theft levelled against him by his twin brother and former bandmate, Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy.

The dispute arose after Rudeboy claimed that Mr P had released a song he had written and intended to debut with his album in the coming year.

Rudeboy alleged that he had both composed and sung the track “Winning,” intending it as part of his upcoming album.

However, to his surprise, the song was released by Mr P with the same producer they had previously worked with, known as Vampire.

The claim quickly caught public attention, sparking a wave of interest in the duo’s long-standing differences since their professional split.

In response, Mr P clarified that the track “Winning” was co-written and composed by him alongside musician Calypso60.

“Person no dey thief him own Property!” he wrote on Instagram, expressing frustration over the accusation. He thanked Vampire for supporting him on the project and credited Calypso60, Vampire, and co-producer Goldswarm for their contributions.

Mr P also implored his brother to allow him to pursue his music career in peace, referring to an open letter he had penned three months prior.

“Just as I said in my open letter… allow me to do my music in peace,” he urged. He encouraged fans to focus on enjoying “Winning” and to dismiss any negativity surrounding the song’s release.

The single is now available across all streaming platforms, with Mr P hoping fans will support his music without distractions.
