Speaking during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the actress said the loss of her father was a deeply traumatic moment that shaped her teenage years and emotional growth.

Shine Rosman explained that while she was still grieving, she was confronted with harsh and damaging labels from people around her, who made negative predictions about her future.

According to her, some individuals suggested she would end up in a life of moral decline, comments she described as painful and difficult to process at such a vulnerable age.

She noted that the experience of grief was overwhelming and, at times, emotionally dangerous, adding that it pushed her into periods of deep reflection about life and resilience.

“After I lost my dad at 16, many people said to me that I would end up becoming a prostitute and get pregnant out of wedlock. Grief can drive you to a point of suicide because grief is probably one of the hardest things to overcome,” she said.

Despite the trauma, Shine Rosman stated that her difficult upbringing ultimately shaped her ambition and determination to succeed in the entertainment industry.

She added that the challenges she faced strengthened her drive to do better and pursue her goals with consistency and focus.
