Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe discusses respecting boundaries when acting with women, debunking rumors and explaining his professional approach

Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has shared how he ensures clear boundaries when filming scenes with female colleagues.

Speaking to BBC News Igbo, Arukwe explained that he discusses what is acceptable before shooting any scene involving close contact. This helps prevent touching areas that could make the actress or her partner uncomfortable.

The actor, widely known as Odogwu Paranran from the movie Love in Every Word, also addressed rumors linking him romantically to colleagues, including Bambam. He emphasized that he is a married man and that such stories are untrue.

“I always discuss boundaries with any female colleague I’m asked to act with. I make sure we talk about what is acceptable before we start filming. I avoid touching areas that could make the actress or her partner uncomfortable. I am a married man. The rumors about me and different women are not true,” Arukwe stated.

He credited the Odogwu character for boosting his career, noting that it opened doors and increased recognition in the industry.
