VeryDarkMan accuses EFCC

Social media critic VeryDarkMan alleges that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is plotting his arrest for speaking against its chairman, Olanipekun Olukoyede

Controversial social media personality and critic, VeryDarkMan, has accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of planning his arrest in retaliation for his outspoken criticism of the agency’s chairman, Olanipekun Olukoyede.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan claimed that the EFCC is working with influential individuals to frame him.

He alleged that a prominent lawyer and a social media influencer visited the EFCC’s Abuja office to present evidence against him, including video clips and a picture of him spraying money.

“EFCC Abuja, I heard you had two visitors today — one a social media influencer and the other a very big, influential lawyer. I know you’re wondering how I found out, but the truth is I have informants in your office,” he said.

According to VeryDarkMan, the EFCC saw the materials presented as an opportunity to target him, particularly given his vocal criticism of the agency’s leadership.

“They brought clips and a picture of me spraying money and said this is an opportunity for you to go for VeryDarkMan. I heard you’re trying to frame me, and I won’t stay silent about this,” he added.

As the controversy unfolds, the EFCC has yet to respond to the allegations. Meanwhile, the accusations have sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many demanding transparency and fairness from the anti-graft agency.
