Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has paid an emotional tribute to late colleague Alex Ekubo following news of the actor’s death.

Edochie shared the heartfelt message on his Facebook page, where he described Ekubo as his “good friend and brother” and called the loss a painful exit.

The actor said there was little anyone could do except submit to the will of God, whom he described as “the author and finisher”.

According to Edochie, Ekubo made the world better by simply being himself and carried a powerful charm that brightened every room.

“You made the world a better place by simply being you. You lit up every room with your positive charm,” Edochie wrote.

The tribute also carried a reflective tone as the actor said friends, fans and colleagues would mourn the loss while celebrating the remarkable life Ekubo lived.

He ended the message with a farewell prayer, expressing hope of meeting his late colleague again.

“Till we meet again, rest well, brother. God knows best,” he added.
