The actress reacted in a video shared on her Instagram page, where she described the incident as heartbreaking and criticised what she called growing public silence in the face of repeated violent attacks across the country.

Yvonne Jegede said the increasing cases of killings and violence appear to be met with limited collective outrage, warning that the situation is becoming dangerously normalised.

She questioned the level of national response to insecurity, urging Nigerians to speak out more forcefully against violence and demand accountability from authorities.

The Nollywood star further lamented the state of public infrastructure and emergency response systems, noting that citizens are often left without adequate medical and security support during crises.

Her reaction comes amid widespread public discussion following reports of the killing, which has sparked emotional responses across social media platforms.

Other public figures, including Bobrisky and actress Ruth Kadiri, have also reacted to the incident, with Kadiri calling on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the growing insecurity in the country.
