Popular Nigerian comedian, AY Makun’s wife, Mabel, has seemingly reacted to Basketmouth after he said he and her husband were never friends.

It’s no secret that the comedians have been at loggerheads for years but the reason behind their beef was vague.

However, recently, AY, while speaking on his 17-year-old beef with Basketmouth in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, narrated how he attended Basketmouth’s wedding but was denied entry.

According to him, while his wife’s name was on the guest list, his wasn’t, so they had to go back home without attending the wedding.

When we arrived, my wife’s name was on the guest list, but my own was noticeably missing. I was looking at my wife, my wife was looking at me, and she said, let’s be going home since you are not qualified to enter. He said. ICYMI.

However, Basketmouth, while sharing his own side of the story on Nedu’s Honest Bunch podcast, said AY or his wife, Mabel, were not invited to his wedding.

He said he couldn’t have invited the whole industry to his wedding, so there was a guest list that contained only the names of his friends.

He said since he didn’t consider AY a friend, he didn’t invite him or his wife.

Ay is not my friend, I didn’t invite him nor his wife to my wedding, they just came themselves. I only invited my friends”, he said.

Barely 12 hours after Basketmouth’s interview, Mabel took to her Instagram page to send a message to people, which appears to be a jab at the comedian.

She asserted that some people are aggressive and lack the ability to speak calmly about others because they were not taught otherwise.

The interior designer wrote:

I have come to realize that some people pass information in an aggressive manner because they know no other way.

She added: Everyone can’t be soft spoken. Understand this and know peace.
