Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has spoken publicly about embarking on a new chapter in her life, following her separation from music icon Innocent ‘2Baba’ Idibia.

During the 17th Headies Awards, Macaulay exuded confidence, wearing a stylish Ankara two-piece complemented by a striking green jacket.
When asked about her choice of colour, she explained its significance to Saturday Beats: “Green is a new beginning and the land is green,” she said, adding that her outfit, styled by celebrity fashion mogul Medlin Boss, reflected her personal journey of renewal.
However, it was a moment during the awards ceremony that truly captured attention. While presenting the award for “Best Afrobeat Singer of the Year,” Macaulay nearly introduced herself using her estranged husband’s surname. “Annie Idi… Oh sorry, Annie Macaulay. Hey, single ladies!” she quipped, drawing loud cheers from the audience.
Her remark, both humorous and revealing, appeared to be a public declaration of her new status and a subtle reclaiming of her identity.
This comes several months after 2Baba publicly confirmed their split on January 26, 2025, bringing an end to their nearly 12-year marriage.
The music star later proposed to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, further solidifying the end of the celebrity union. Despite the high-profile separation, Macaulay has largely remained silent, choosing to concentrate on personal growth.
Sources close to the actress confirm that she is preparing for a wellness retreat in Dubai titled “Annie’s Journey,” which is expected to reflect her focus on healing, empowerment, and self-discovery.
With her head held high and her focus set on new beginnings, Annie Macaulay appears ready to embrace life on her own terms.
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has faced mixed reactions from social media users following her public announcement that she has ended her relationship with her boyfriend, Xxssive.

The actress revealed in an Instagram story that the relationship ended last year. Despite the split, she stated that there is no animosity between them and celebrated her return to singlehood by joining other single women in exclaiming, “God when?”
In a video post, Nkechi further announced her decision to keep her future relationships off social media, citing her past experience as a lesson in maintaining privacy.
However, her announcement did not sit well with many online users, who accused her of seeking attention.

While some criticized her, others offered a more sympathetic view, with @ezinnediary stating, “We listen, we don’t judge,” and @her_majestynessa adding, “I hope she keeps her relationship private this time.”
Nkechi Blessing began dating social media personality Eseoghene Obire, known as Xxssive, in 2021, following her breakup with Ekiti State politician Opeyemi Falegan.
Although their relationship was marked by breakup rumors last year, the couple dispelled the speculation when Xxssive surprised her at a beauty launch event.
At the time, Nkechi responded to critics by sharing a video with Xxssive, stating that she would only show the public what she wanted them to see.
