Nigerian actor and content creator Kamo State has publicly expressed his profound gratitude to actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele for her extraordinary support during his wife’s pregnancy and the arrival of their first child.

In a touching Instagram post, State shared a heartfelt video of Akindele, accompanied by a lengthy message filled with admiration, appreciation, and affection.

Referring to Akindele as “an angel in human form” and his “dearest godmother,” State detailed the unwavering support she provided throughout his wife’s pregnancy and childbirth.

State revealed that despite informing Akindele about the pregnancy relatively late, she was immediately willing to arrange for his wife to travel to the United States for the delivery.

“IYAMI IYAMI, your generosity knows no bounds, and your love is a gift I cherish every single day. I owe you so much, and I’ll spend a lifetime trying to repay the kindness you’ve shown me,” he added.

He also recounted how Akindele supported him during crucial moments at the hospital, calling daily to check on his wife, Esther, particularly when he missed her calls.

“Even when I told you about the pregnancy late, you were ready to fly my wife to the US for the baby’s birth. You told your driver and security details to follow us to the hospital even if we call them in the midnight,” he wrote.

State went on to highlight Akindele’s selfless generosity, from hiring one of the top doctors in Lagos and covering all hospital expenses, to consistently praying for his family and sponsoring the upcoming baby’s naming ceremony, including providing outfits and catering.

The public tribute has garnered warm reactions from fans and colleagues, who have praised Akindele for her humility, compassion, and quiet generosity.
