Nollywood actress Bimbo Afolayan has responded to the attention surrounding her appearance at a recent event, saying she is at peace with herself and no longer concerned about other people’s opinions.

The actress attended the AFRIMEK event with her husband, filmmaker Okiki Afolayan. The event was organised in honour of their Mayor, Femi Adebayo.

Following the event, Bimbo shared a video of herself showcasing her outfit on social media.

Her appearance subsequently attracted comments and reactions from social media users, with some focusing on her physical appearance.

Amid the reactions, the actress appeared unfazed by the attention and shared a message about her current outlook on life.

Bimbo said she had reached a point where she no longer allowed other people’s opinions, disagreements or negative feelings towards her to affect her peace of mind.

She said she was not concerned about who was upset with her, who disliked her, who hated her or who chose not to speak to her.

“Y’all ever been so at peace in life you don’t care about nothing? What people say about you, who’s mad at you, who don’t like you, who’s hating on you, who’s not talking to you. That’s pretty much where I’m at right now.

“I love it here.

“Do whatever makes you happy.”

Bimbo’s message has since generated further reactions from her fans and followers on social media.

The actress has continued to share moments from her personal and professional life with her online audience, while her latest post focused on maintaining personal peace despite public opinion.
